About Us:
In 1967 Mearl D. Shellenbarger started "Shellenbarger Electric" and joined in
a partnership with Bud Funk, and together they were "S&F Electric". They worked on
many projects both local and on the western slope. A good number of there projects
included water treatment plants, and waste water treatment facilities. They had one
of the best partnerships that two owners could ever dream of. When Mearl A. Shellenbarger
turned 12 he started to follow in his fathers foot steps, he would go with his father
to the job sites and started to learn the trade. After Mearl A. graduated from high
school he started to travel from state to state following the large government projects.
In 1983 "S&F Electric" dissolved there partnership, and "Shellenbarger Electric"
was formed. Mearl D. worked on his own with only his wife Jean to help as Mearl A.
was traveling with the construction. In 1990 Mearl A. returned to Loveland, Co. and
started working for "Shellenbarger Electric". In 1997 we lost Mearl D. to emphysema.
Mearl A. went on to get his Masters Lic. at that time. After the loss of Mearl D.
the company suffered for a few years but managed to hang on. We started on the way
back up in the year 2000. We have since hired one employee, and business keeps getting
better all the time. In 2010 we went from a sole proprietor to an LLC. We made three
moves in one year and have finally found a shop that work very well for us and our
operation.
We have the knowledge and experience to handle all aspects of the electrical
trade. We also offer lighting maintenance service, and Mearl A. specializes in motors,
motor controls, networking, CCTV, instrumentation, and security systems. We have
a bucket truck that will reach 35' and underground cable locators & fault finders.
